Supporting patients along their journey while receiving care is an underserved aspect of healthcare. While there are several dedicated solutions for e.g. communicating with a care team, looking up medical terms, receiving lab results, etc., there are only a few attempts that address the overall patient journey and how patients can engage along that in their care decisions, access to medical records and lab results, sharing information, creating a care circle and interacting with them.
Taking a fresh look at the needs and painpoints of patients, a new set of designs were created from the ground up, abandoning entirely the previous implementation. Simplicity, clarity, minimal number of choices per view, large sleek elements, and easy-to-understand visual guidance were the guiding principles in the process.
